Next iPhone – Hike while watching Star Trek

Our good friends over at MacRumors picked up on BoyGeniusReport that shows the iPhone 3.0 firmware was support for not only the current accelerometer but the ability to log motion and compass heading.
The next iPhone is starting to sound like a hiker’s dream. Not only will we no longer have any excuse for being lost but we’ll have 3G streaming media to keep us amused until we’re found.
