Quick! Jump on the bandwagon – #iPhone OS 3.1 breaks #Exchange – Pfft!
Lately I’ve noticed a depressing plumet in half-way objective blogging about Apple on certain “mainstream” web sites. All too often are they rushing to beat the drum on how Snow Leopard is just like Windows 7 – a bug fix… Dream on people.
These “authoritative” pieces written by people who’ve never even run an Apple OS are at best cynical attempts to bump up page views and gain questionable notoriety by goading the Apple-faithful.
Such a piece is linked below. Now it’s not Exchange admins imposing their right to take advantage of iPhone 3Gs’s ability to conform to their demands for whole device encryption, no, it’s evil Apple shutting out all those pre OS 3Gs users from doing something that their company’s don’t want them to do. Hang on, how is that Apple’s fault? They provided a feature that their enterprise customers were asking for (device encryption) but somehow it’s their fault that this only works on SOME iPhones??
Try running Vista on a 3 year old PC people!
I guess Apple should actually be grateful that all the PC bigots can do is try to poke holes in its products. After all, there’s nothing worth promoting on the MSFT side of the house so brick-bats are all they have left.
Cynical and pathetic really…
