For anyone who travels or likes to keep up with their favorite TV shows when they are on the go, SlingBox is a great solution!  Now the introduction of the iPhone client app is getting close and AT&T have backed down from their ridiculous position on video over the 3G network.

AT&T tweaks wireless terms of service to forbid video streaming, filesharing, data tethering

Is it me or is it pretty pointless having networks that you’re not allowed to do anything on?  I thought mobile video conferencing was something the carriers were encouraging!  Their “unlimited” plans cap at 5GB/mo anyway.  After that you pay through the nose per byte.  So what is there to lose?

This just reeks of stodgy, old-f-touch old men, making dumb-ass decisions about technology they don’t understand and are probably afraid of.  When did we hand the internet over to these goons?
