Apple hasn’t lost its appetite for chips!

It’s becoming clear that Apple has a growing interest in chip technology. Since it’s partnerships in the late 80s and early 90s resulting in advanced versions of the ARM family of CPUs Apple has continued to dabble in chip design. Recently this “hobby” has become a more tangiblestrategyfor Cupertino, with the acquisition last year of PA Semi and the hiring of chip “gurus” from both IBM and ATI. Read more…
